From the Ground Up – #3

From new foundations to detailed brickwork…

Our sites have been busy again this week. In Hove, we’ve broken ground on a new lean-to conservatory. Over in Didcot, a large modern orangery is taking shape despite the weather. And in Chichester, we’ve completed some truly beautiful brickwork ready for fitting next week.

• Work has begun on a brand-new lean-to conservatory that will bring plenty of charm once finished.
• Trench footings have been dug and poured with solid concrete for a long-lasting base.
• The cavity dwarf walls are being completed with matching brickwork and stepped heights, allowing for built-in units along one side and a seamless tie-in to the main house.

• Groundworks are now complete on this spacious modern orangery.
• Despite the rain, we’ve broken up the existing patio, dug trench footings, and used shuttering before the concrete pour to keep everything stable and precise.
• Concrete is now set, and the first layers of brickwork are up – a strong start for a striking build.

• Following last week’s progress, all the brickwork is now complete.
• We’ve carefully matched the decorative red bricks with the buff tones of the main house, adding detailed brick cills to tie everything together.
• The site’s been cleaned down and is now ready for fitting next week – keep an eye out for how this one takes shape.
