Tailor-Made Conservatory Transforms Urban Garden into Elegant Entertaining Space

In a compact city setting, our client sought a way to open up their living area while making better use of their small, underutilised patio. We created a bespoke corner lean-to conservatory designed to create a stylish garden room that could be enjoyed in every season.

The Challenge:
The client’s existing space offered limited room for entertaining. Its awkwardly shaped patio and a narrow kitchen meant hosting guests felt cramped and impractical. Gaining access to the garden through the home also posed logistical challenges, and the outdoor area’s unusual layout demanded a carefully considered, custom solution. They needed a space that felt luxurious yet didn’t overpower the garden, and one that offered genuine usability all year round.

Our Approach:
We developed a fully bespoke conservatory custom-tailored to the geometry of the property’s patio. A modern black finish with Crittall-inspired glazing provided a bold architectural contrast to the home’s traditional brickwork. The use of solar glass roofing ensured optimal light levels without excessive heat, while extra-tall frames helped to visually and physically connect the new space with the rest of the house. Despite tight access through the property, our team managed the full build efficiently, whilst minimising disruption throughout the project.

The Results:
The finished conservatory is an improved, contemporary addition that has completely transformed how the space is used. It now serves as a bright, stylish room for entertaining or relaxing, regardless of the weather. The elegant structure enhances the overall look of the property while making smart use of a challenging outdoor area.
